The OFT's response to BIS' consultation on the pilot operation of the civil sanctions powers welcomed the proposal for a pilot and the OFT's involvement in it in relation to the CPRs. The OFT's response to the consultation is in broad agreement with the general thrust of the proposals and also notes there is some scope for greater consistency and coherence across the process, for example in relation to lead in times, penalties for late payment and discounts for early payment, and levels of penalties.
