We have been playing an active role in the European Commission's review of the Vertical Agreements Block Exemption and Guidelines on Vertical Restraints.
The current Block Exemption and Guidelines are due to be replaced on 1 June 2010 and the Commission has been considering what form their replacements should take. The Competition Policy team has met with a number of business representatives throughout the year, in order to inform its input into this debate.
The Commission has now completed its public consultation exercise and is expected to finalise and publish the new Block Exemption and Guidelines early in 2010.
