Consumer Codes Approval Scheme

The Consumer Codes Approval Scheme (CCAS) campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the OFT's  Consumer Codes Approval Scheme and the benefits it offers to consumers and businesses.

Code approval means that a business is a member of a trade association operating to a code of practice approved by the OFT. Members are licensed to display the Approved code logo, and customers can be confident they will be treated fairly if problems arise.

Since the approval of the first code in 2004, the OFT has run an annual promotional campaign in partnership with code sponsors and member businesses. The CCAS team also attends relevant conferences and trade fairs to promote awareness of the scheme.
