In August 2007, the OFT completed a review of the undertakings clearing banks relating to the supply of banking services to SMEs following the 2002 Competition Commission report on SME banking.
Based on the OFT's advice, the Competition Commission has provisionally decided to lift price controls on the four main business banks in England and Wales.
