Find information on the OFT Freedom of Information Act publication scheme, how the OFT is bound by the principles of the Data Protection Act, access to environmental information held by the OFT, and our work towards becoming more transparent as an organisation.
Accessing information
- Freedom of Information Act
- The Freedom of Information Act gives you the right to obtain information held by the OFT unless there are good reasons for why the information cannot be supplied.
- Data Protection Act
- The OFT is bound by the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998, which regulates the processing of personal data relating to individual data subjects.
- Welsh language scheme
- In accordance with the Welsh Language Act 1993, we have established a Welsh Language Scheme to publish information in Welsh wherever appropriate in the circumstances and reasonably practicable.
- Environmental information
- The public has a right to request environmental information held by public authorities, including the OFT.
- Transparency in the OFT's work
- In line with Government public expenditure commitments, the OFT has published new information, including its organisation, senior salary data, contracts and tender documentation.
- Transparency data - organisation and staff information
- This data includes an organisation chart showing the structure of the OFT at a point in time and information on senior staff salaries and team structure.
