Transparency data - organisation and staff information

The information on this page is a reflection of the OFT's structure from 30 June 2010.  

The information includes data on senior salaries, full time staff reporting in to each senior civil servant, and the total costs of teams. It is expected that this data will be updated every six months.

The OFT has published data on non consolidated performance related pay.

Staff dataset information
Monthly workforce management information

The OFT has published monthly workforce management information.

These figures are not Official Statistics. They are internal workforce management information published in the interests of transparency.

  1. These figures have not been reconciled centrally with any National Statistics. Where differences appear between the monthly information and National Statistics, clarifying comments are provided.
  2. The ONS quarterly public sector employment survey continues to provide an official headline measure for comparing the overall size of employment in central government organisations with other sectors of the economy at the relevant quarterly reference point.
  3. Given the wide range of organisations covered, caution should be exercised when drawing inferences from the figures and care should be taken when making comparisons between organisations. Users of this management information should refer to any additional commentary and notes where these are provided.

Tax arrangements of contract appointees

On 23 May 2012, the Government published a review of the tax arrangements of public sector appointees. The review identified the number of off payroll engagements worth more than £58,200 per annum across government - and made recommendations to improve the tax transparency of these kind of arrangements.

The following document constitutes the OFT's submission to this review.
