I have worked at the OFT in a variety of roles dealing with competition and consumer policy issues. In all of that time, I have found the work of the OFT interesting, challenging and hugely fulfilling. Working with talented and committed colleagues to make sure consumers benefit from competitive markets and fair-dealing businesses has been - and is - a real pleasure.

The profile of the OFT is growing as the contribution we make to the lives of consumers and the health of markets is better appreciated. Whether that be through challenging practices across whole market sectors, dealing with price-fixing agreements, tackling scams, raising standards of business behaviour through effective self-regulation, or looking at the market effects of government regulation, all that we do has a common purpose: to make markets work well for the benefit of consumers, markets and the economy.
