Following the implementation of the new consumer credit licensing IT system, there are still some delays, mainly in the processing of renewal applications and notifications to update existing licences. We can assure you that the licensing team is working hard to deal with these delays. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to you during this time.
If you are experiencing problems reaching our enquiries team they can be contacted by email, at enquiries@oft.gov.uk or by fax on 020 7211 8877. Please mark your enquiries for the attention of the Credit Licensing Enquiries Team.
You can now apply for a new consumer licence or to renew or to vary an existing licence online. You can also search our online version of the Consumer Credit Register, giving details of everyone who holds a consumer credit licence, has applied for one, or had one revoked, suspended or varied.
In addition, we are working on enabling licensees to notify the OFT of changes to existing licences online.
