The Sale of Goods Act and the Distance Selling hubs

Where next for the SOGA and DS hubs?

From 1 April 2013 Trading Standards Institute (TSI) has taken over the OFT's role in providing information to retailers and their staff on the Sale of Goods Act (SOGA) and Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs). Find out more about the Trading Standards Institute's plans for business education.

How will this affect the SOGA and DS hubs?

Not much, we're pleased to say! All the materials you used to use are now available for download just as they were, and the OFT will continue to work on other consumer law projects and will have handy information to email through from time to time. Please follow the links below to be redirected to the new homes of the hubs.

Skilled to go is moving to Citizens Advice

It uses real life consumer situations, such as choosing a mobile phone, to help learners develop consumer skills, knowledge and confidence alongside literacy and numeracy skills. The resources include games, quizzes, role plays and case studies, plus video and audio content.
From 1 April 2013 Citizens Advice is responsible for providing consumer education in Great Britain. This includes Skilled to go, that has transferred from the Office of Fair Trading to Citizens Advice to form a wider consumer education resource for registered users
