The OFT proposes to find that an agreement between MasterCard's UK members on a common fee charged on transactions made in the UK by credit and charge cards infringes the Competition Act 1998.
The OFT has published a short paper that outlines the reasons for its preliminary conclusion and sets out the possible next steps in the case.
