Start date for new OFT chief executive

Following the recent announcement by the Department for Business (BIS) of Clive Maxwell's appointment as OFT Chief Executive, the OFT today confirmed that he will start in post on 1 July. He will succeed John Fingleton who will take up a short-term senior advisory role in the Cabinet Office and Her Majesty's Treasury.
NOTES
- John Fingleton announced his intention to step down earlier this year.
- BIS recently announced the appointment of Clive Maxwell as the new OFT Chief Executive.
