Statement regarding Farepak hamper firm

John Fingleton, Chief Executive of the OFT has today provided advice to Ian McCartney, the Minister for Consumer Affairs, on the regulatory options to address the issues arising from the collapse of the Farepak hamper firm. This is in response to a request from the Minister when they met on 8 November.
 
The advice was put together in conjunction with the FSA, and we look forward to discussing this with the Minister in the near future.
