Christine Farnish to resign from OFT board

19 July 2006

Christine Farnish has tendered her resignation as a non-executive Director of the Office of Fair Trading prior to taking up a senior post in the Autumn with Barclays plc.

Christine has been a member of the OFT Board since its inception on 1 April 2003.

Philip Collins, OFT Chairman, said:

'We are very grateful for to Christine her contribution and commitment to the work of the Office and wish her every success in her new post.'
