Consumer credit licensing and investigation

We have an ongoing monitoring and enforcement obligation under the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Under Part 9 of the Enterprise Act 2002 we are unable to disclose any details of ongoing cases.

We are working to implement the Consumer Credit Act 2006, this includes drafting guidance to cover the provisions set out in the new act.

We are contributing to the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform review of the Credit Advertising Regulations. Read more information on the current Credit Advertising Regulations.
