Alliance

What is the Alliance?

To implement our consumer education strategy we have established a consumer education Alliance – a coalition of organisations and individuals from the private, public and voluntary sector that are active or have an interest in consumer education.

The aim of the Alliance is to prevent duplication of resources – not just financial but effort and time.

We believe that more can be achieved working together and by focusing resources on one strategic aim.

The Alliance at work

We will keep Alliance members up to date with the OFT's consumer education work but we are also keen to hear what other members are doing. We are happy for members to use the Alliance as a communications tool to share ideas, coordinate activity and keep in touch.

The OFT has hosted two consumer education Alliance events. The themes of the each event have been captured in post-event documents, see the Background page.

How to join the Alliance?

We welcome applications to join the Alliance from any individual or organisation, across the UK, with an interest in consumer education. A broad membership is vital as it ensures that the interests of all consumers are represented across the UK.
