How does the Alliance work?
The Alliance oversees and enables the development and delivery of a planned, targeted and high-quality consumer education programme for the UK. It aims to coordinate consumer education activities across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Alliance:
- ensures work is targeted against identified priorities
- enables members to share and discuss ideas
- acts as a resource for those developing and delivering consumer education initiatives
- acts as a delivery channel for consumer education initiatives
- provides a central voice for consumer education in the UK
- provides a register of consumer education activities across the UK.
The OFT provides administrative support to the Alliance and is responsible for applications for membership.
For the Alliance to succeed, effective communication is vital. These web pages act as the main point of contact for Alliance members and enable members to share news, views and resources.
We will also organise events such as conferences, seminars and workshops.
